The drive from Vernal back to Salt Lake City was just magnificent for the first half and then boring for the second half, but the first half more than made up for the second half.
Here is another picture of Flaming Gorge and some local fauna at an overlook stop.
What I am most bummed out about the alternator going out and having to spend 4 hours in Vernal, is that I did not get to go see the world's largest open pit mine outside of Salt Lake City. Another reason in a long list of many of why I will have to go back to retrace parts of my journey...
